Formed in 2010 by a group of Philadelphia freelance musicians and teaching artists, the Philadelphia Chamber Brass aims to promote the literature of the brass quintet as a serious chamber music medium by performing standard repertoire as well as commissioning new works ranging from very accessible to extremely difficult. The PCB also seeks to compile and arrange early music into viable works for student and professional ensembles alike. In addition to the artistic side of concertizing, arranging and publishing, and promoting brass literature as a serious medium, the PCB also aims to educate the younger generations on the importance of brass music as well as classical music in general by developing and presenting high-quality education programs such as masterclasses, formal and informal educational concerts, and mini-residency programs to bring into schools ranging from pre-K through university and conservatory level that are tailored to the individual needs of each and every school we work with. Please visit our artistic and education pages to read more about the services we offer. The five talented musicians that make up the Philadelphia Chamber Brass are:
